Data Carpentry - R (2 days)

Data Carpentry - R (2 days)

Data Carpentry’s aim is to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain. This hands-on workshop uses a tabular ecology dataset and teaches data cleaning, management, analysis and visualization using Excel, Openrefine, SQL, and R. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.

IMPORTANT: This workshop is two parts: 9/29/22 and 9/30/22. Attendance at the first session is a prerequisite for the second.

For more information on what we teach and why, please see our paper "Best Practices for Scientific Computing".

Who: The course is aimed at graduate students and other researchers. You don't need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
