1922 in Literature
This exhibit celebrates the centennial of 1922, when many of the great works of modernist literature were published, including T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, James Joyce’s Ulysses, and Virginia Woolf’s Jacob’s Room. Students in Prof. Dickey’s honors tutorial “1922” and English 3119: Modern Literature c. 1922 will curate artifacts from the MU Library collections and their own reflections to showcase the “annus mirabilis” of twentieth-century literature.
