I Saw It on Social Media: How to Evaluate Social Media Content

When you’re mindlessly scrolling your phone, it’s not uncommon to see an ad for a new skincare line or a multivitamin that seems “too good to be true.” While social media offers us a great way to connect with others and consume content, it can also be very overwhelming. This workshop will cover tips and tricks on how to research efficiently and effectively and how to determine information validity on social media.

Presented by Emma Fernandez, graduate assistant for MU Libraries, and Taira Meadowcroft, Information Services Librarian for the Health Services Library.
