Special Collections Rare Book Tour for School of Medicine

Special Collections welcomes you to a showcase of rare materials related to the history of science! We have curated a selection of materials related to astronomy, physics, and medicine: Galileo Galilei, Tammaso Campanella, and James Hume provide a perspective on competing models of the solar system in the 1620s and 1630s. For physics, we have two eighteenth-century titles written by Isaac Newton. Finally, we have treatises by Thomas Willis and Charles Bell, both noted contributors to the study of neurology. These books and many others will be available to you in Ellis Library 406 on August 29 from 1:00pm until 2:30pm. We hope to see you then!
