Missouri HathiTrust Hackathon

Join librarians of the national library honor society Beta Phi Mu for a HathiTrust hackathon!

We will work together to create a special, free, public "Missouri Room" within the vast library of searchable scanned books that makes up HathiTrust, using HathiTrust’s Public Collections feature. Once in place, this will make finding published information about Missouri people, places and events easier for genealogists, historians, students, and the general public.

Coffee and snacks will be provided by Beta Phi Mu, for all in-person participants, but online participation will also be possible. The main hackathon will commence at 11:00 AM April 14 and end at 12:30 PM. Following an optional group lunch, diehard HathiTrust hackers will be able to continue hacking until 4:00 PM if desired.

Prior experience with HathiTrust or HathiTrust collections is emphatically not necessary, as both will be explained at the start of the event.

The Missouri HathiTrust Hackathon is free, but registration is required. Parking and other logistical information will be emailed to registered participants.
