LibWIS Week: Using Google for Research (3:15-4:15 pm)

Using Google for Research (NEW in the LibWIS Series!)

How is the best way to use Google for research purposes?  What is Google Scholar and how does it differ from the various research databases in the Libraries? What are other features in Google that can assist me as a student?

Class Recommendation: Bring in your laptop for this session. We will show you how to adjust your Google settings to locate MU resources more easily.

What is LibWIS? (Library Workshops for International Students)

LibWIS are research sessions open to any student, but international students are particularly encouraged to attend. These hour-long, no-registration workshops taught by library staff are in Ellis Library, Room 4D11.

LibWIS WEEK is Jan 29—Feb 2. Every day that week at 3:15 pm, a new topic will be explained.

The sessions from LibWIS Week will be repeated on alternating Wednesdays with Open Labs in-between for students to walk in with any library/research question. All sessions will be in Ellis Library, Room 4D11, 3:15-4:15pm.
