This is a course on the history of the fairy tale for freshman students at Westminster College in Fulton, MO. This is a somewhat inexperienced class in terms of scholarship so a trip to visit the wonders of the Special Collection at Ellis Library would be incredibly beneficial.

The texts we will be reading cover a lot of ground from some medieval works to folk tales to formal fairy tales from Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy and Perrault, but they'll also see more recent works and films as well. It would be wonderful to gain some insights into the publication of these works.
